Great idea for a post and any place that has a board game cafe must get it’s share of rain lol! I would love to have a good look through the Hard to Find Book Store and the Sensory Maze sounds pretty interesting too. It is also very cool that you can take a free meditation class. All great ideas.

These are awesome! It’s nice to see rainy day travel options. We don’t see them very often. These are all things I would be interested in especially the sensory overload maze, the board game cafe and Stardome observatory. I’m a big of a nerd 🙂

Great ideas for a rainy day! Till now all I was doing was to sit at my window, watch the rains with a hot cup of coffee. 🙂 Now I know what I was missing.

    • November 18, 2016 / 1:22 am

Nothing wrong with sitting inside with a cup of hot coffee or tea! <3

Rainy weather is no fun, but good thing there is always something else to do. I’ve always wanted to visit an ice cream factory, so my first option would be to visit the Tip Top ice cream factory . And the escape room is a great idea as well!

    • November 18, 2016 / 1:21 am

I haven’t been to the ice cream factory yet but it’s definitely at the top of my list especially at such a low price 🙂

Where was this post when we were stuck in the rain in AUckland a couple of weeks ago lol! We ended up buying some compact umbrellas and hitting the streets anyway 😀 Drove up to Piha and found a lovely secluded black beach 🙂

    • November 18, 2016 / 1:20 am

I love Piha! I’m glad you guys had a great time regardless of the rain!

  8. November 17, 2016 / 11:56 pm

These are such great ideas! Does it get pretty rainy in Auckland often? I would totally be in line for that milkshake, but I really should be looking into the free meditation haha.

    • November 18, 2016 / 1:20 am

It doesn’t snow here, so the winter is just full of rain. Now that it’s spring it’s been a bit rainy but it’s. so. freaking. green! So I’m thankful for the rain!

  9. November 18, 2016 / 2:11 am

These are great tips! It’s amazing how quickly the weather can totally wreck an entire day, but if every city came with a rainy day guide it would make those days much easier! I love that there are so many options other than eating or snoozing there! Thanks for sharing and this has inspired me to look into more things like this in other cities I visit. Cheers!
